【New Products】Metal-based IP 67 industrial Raspberry Pi MICA-R with Compute Module 3+ integrated



MICA-R is a new product with Raspberry Pi integrated into modular industrial computer MICA. Raspberry Pi, originally intended for R&D use, has been widely spread since its launch in 2012 due to its easy accessibility. However, it neither has enough scalability and flexibility for industrial application nor durability and robustness for continuous use in harsh environment. As the conventional MICA, MICA-R has compact and robust design with aluminium die cast housing, which supports direct mounting to machines as well as use onboard trains and outdoors. Modular inside is composed of CPU board, power/interface board and function board for customisation. CPU board adopts Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3+, which enables to use free or low-cost software and open knowledge resources to develop the required IoT device. The portfolio is enhanced by function boards for open network connection, additional USB interface, IO-Link connection and with integrated high-performance microcomputer. It is also possible to customize the function board according to individual needs. In addition HARTING offers camera, sensors, wireless modules and connectors which can be combined with MICA-R.
